Have you been posting running tips to Instagram, your blog or another platform, yet you still aren’t getting clients online?
You’re spending time researching studies, creating graphics, sharing valuable tips yet it feels like NO ONE is listening.
You’re frustrated and not sure what really works. Is this a waste of time?
You’re not alone. I got this message from a run coach named John this week: “My biggest problem is I don’t seem to have engagement. I will post a “want a free X, comment Y below” type post once in a while but get no replies. It seems the few leads I do get, they just want free advice and shut down when I mention plans.”
Sound familiar?

A few years ago, everyone switched from sharing their personal lives on social media to “adding value.” The goal was to share tips and really help people through your free content to build trust so they would want YOU as their coach.
But adding value is just one part of an effective marketing strategy. When you add value, you are establishing trust.
In order for someone to choose YOU as their run coach, you also need people to know and like you. But how do you do that?
To make your running tip posts better you can:
1) Speak to a specific type of runner (aka niche) in a way they aren’t going to find on google. Make the tip specific to them.
2) Include a personal story to show that you understand them in a way others may not – connect through shared experience.
3) Create connection by getting vulnerable & sharing a mistake, misconception or insecurity and inviting others to engage in the conversation.
In this week’s Runner Rising podcast and next week in the 3 Day Instagram Workshop for Run Coaches, you will learn the 4 types of posts that run coaches need to be doing to attract clients to them. I also share why a “value” reel I did helped me gain over 600 followers in one reel – I break down the specifics of what made that reel so compelling to my niche.
We’ll cover how to create posts that get people to trust, know, like AND buy from you.

One last note: getting consistent content up is better than overanalyzing and trying to be perfect in each one. The more you post, the better you’ll get.
