You’ve just gotten your RRCA, USATF, UESCA, VDOT, or one of the many run coach certifications, now what do you do to get your first clients!?
Should you build a website first? File as an LLC?
Why You Don’t Need a Website First as a New Run Coach
While a website is nice to have, you do NOT need a website to get your first run coaching client. Your first client wants to work with you and will likely be someone you’re already connected with in some way. They don’t need a fancy website!
The first thing you need to do when you become a run coach is get the word out that you are a run coach.
How to Announce You’re a Run Coach
I recommend creating a post for all your social platforms and an email announcing you’re a coach.
In this video, I walk new run coaches through the first steps that they should take when they become a new run coach to get the word out and set themselves up to get a new client right away. You will learn how to write the post and what to put in your announcement to make it effective.
Facing Fears as a New Run Coach
It’s normal to feel scared to put yourself out there as a new run coach, so this episode is going to not only give you those exact steps to start but also the reassurance that you’re doing the right thing. You’ve got this!
I surveyed many of the run coaches in my program and in my network on how they got their first client and here are their real responses:
